umbrellas like confetti on beaches. lemon and water. wildflowers on the side of the road. washed out wood. smiles of summer. holding hands. my neighbor's roses. custard. dolls. carnival lights.

wildwood had every color of summer. i was happy to be able to capture them all ... a color capturer.

i'm listening to a song about rainy days right now. it does make me think of autumn and winter. i'll be glad for snow, but i will miss the corn fields.

I love vintage things. They've been and seen things, things that is part of their story, a story that I become a part of once I put the bag over my shoulder.

Vintage things ... they remind me of the worn door knob that has felt the warmth of so many people's hands ... like a grandma's linen apron that has old stains, like the forgotten music box.

This is the sky on July 3rd, when my tiny town celebrated America's birthday a day earlier.





And this is the sky I saw two days ago.
